New Zealand is a magical country to experience. The scenery has been used as incredible backdrops in many movies. New Zealand has captured the imagination of many producers and directors with its diverse landscape. In a short period of time you can go from city to rolling farmland, to thick green bush and forests, to soaring mountains. We have it all!
When people ask me about New Zealand this is what I tell them,
“As someone who was born and raised in New Zealand I am often asked to describe New Zealand to those who have never been there. Most people think of New Zealand as Middle Earth thanks to Peter Jackson and his directing of The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies. But New Zealand is so much more. It is very hard to describe what you will experience when you travel to New Zealand. Everyone comes away with a different experience and most either don’t want to leave or can’t wait to get back there.
The best way I can describe New Zealand to an American is this: “Take all 50 states and squish them into the state of Colorado, surround it by water, add 4 million people and about 60 million sheep. That’s New Zealand.” That description will give you a physical idea about what New Zealand has to offer, but New Zealand is something you have to experience to truly appreciate its splendor. It is a combination of the culture, people and scenery that will give you a true New Zealand experience. I can’t wait to share my homeland with you and hear about how New Zealand touched you.”
This year I have embarked on a mission to help people experience New Zealand and have been diligently planning an exclusive offer to New Zealand. With the assistance of Air New Zealand Vacations we have just finalised not one, not two but THREE amazing packages to New Zealand at the beginning of 2015. To make it easy for planning we have included airfare from Los Angeles to the start point of the package and then back to Los Angeles at the end of your adventure. We have made the packages as inclusive as we possibly can to make it easy for you to get the best out of the experience we are offering you.
Our first package is a Cruise Vacation. Not only will you enjoy a 12-night cruise onboard the beautiful Celebrity Solstice but we have included a pre-cruise night in Sydney, Australia with a city tour and a post-cruise night in Auckland, New Zealand again with a city tour and with a group farewell dinner. For more information on this package please click the Celebrity Cruise button
For our second package we are exploring Movie Locations around New Zealand. We will be visiting many places where films like Under the Mountain, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Last Samurai, Top of the Lake, Vertical Limits, X-Men Original: Wolverine, The Frighteners, Heavenly Creatures, Brain Dead, Goodbye Pork Pie, and many other movies were filmed. Almost everywhere we go we will be visiting movie locations and while in Wellington we will be visiting Weta Cave and Windows into Workshop. Now Windows into Workshop is VERY cool. There is magic behind the red door. I can’t tell you what is behind the red door as the ticket states we can’t talk about it. But it was awesome! If you would like to join us on an adventure to New Zealand and let us bring the movies to life for you then please click the Air New Zealand Vacation Button
Our third package is for those who can’t decide between the first two or just want more time in New Zealand. This package is combined to create the Ultimate New Zealand Sea & Land Adventure. You will be able to join us for a month! Yes we depart Los Angeles on January 24, 2015 and arrive back in Los Angeles on February 24, 2015. Yes, we will visit some of the same cities on both land and sea but we will plan to make each stop unique so you don’t double up on the sights and sounds of the cities we visit.
